Y’all, I’m so excited for the virtual book launch tonight for If You Want to Knit Some Mittens! It’s at 7pm Central Time with Red Balloon Bookshop hosting me and Angela Matteson, and there will be two prizes given out at the end of the event: a pair of adorable Girl/Sheep wooden tiles painted by Angela, and a 45-minute Zoom chat with me for a writer or classroom.
We’ll read the story and then share a bit about our writing and art process for the book. Grab a warm drink and your knitting (or, you know, just the drink!) and join us! Registration is required, and the event is free!
Having nobody show up for signings and events is a shared nightmare of the kidlit world, I think. It’s mortifying. I’m hoping to see some familiar names in the chat, if you don’t already have plans!
[My Classroom Connections posts share a way to connect one of my books or poems to a classroom topic–often something timely that you might be covering in the next month or so. Please share this post if you have educator friends who might be interested–thanks!]
Sorry I missed it, Laura! Hope it went fabulously!
