Freelance Writing and Editing

I’ve been working as a freelance writer and copyeditor for many years. I work almost exclusively with children’s and young adult material and materials for educators, although I’ve written feature pieces for newspapers and grown-up (adult just sounds wrong) magazines, as well.

Most of my clients are publishers, though sometimes publishing services companies and individuals hire me.

As a freelancer, my strengths are working efficiently, meeting deadlines, following publisher specs and style sheets, and creating materials to fit seamlessly into series.

If you’re interested in seeing what kind of writing and editing work I specialize in, you can check out my experience on these two pages:

  • My freelance writing experience for kids’ and educators’ materials
  • My copyediting experience

If you’d like to talk with me about a possible assignment, just fill out my Contact form, and I’ll get back to you shortly. Thanks!

SEPTEMBER NEWS

Whee! It's fall, the time of fresh starts. I'm busy working with a web designer to redesign my site--yikes. That's a big project. But I started off the month with a family visit in Florida, which was great. Now I'm prepping for a fall-themed storytime at the South St. Paul Library on Sep. 26 at 10:30 a.m. Hope you can come!
