Multi-Day Author Visits, or Residencies

Sometimes, I get to visit a school for more than one day, and I love that! Multi-day visits happen for various reasons:

  • The school has too many students for me to visit with in one day (4 sessions at 100 students per session)
  • I am going to work with students several times over the course of a month or two to guide them through a single project, like a creating a Can Be… nonfiction book.
  • I’m spending several days or a week working with a particular grade level, and we’re exploring poetry in depth, with a lot of different activities.

Spending more time in a school allows for a deeper connection with students and makes time for creativity, risk-taking, and celebration of our skills! Please contact me if you’re interested in discussing a possible residency at your school.
