First graders and A Leaf Can Be...

From a substitute teacher in a first grade class in New Hampshire, who shared my book, A Leaf Can Be… Two of her favorite responses from kids. She says, “The “9” is because we have been working on things that add up to nine this week. The other drawing, the worm hider, is poison ivy.” Isn’t that fabulous?
