Make a Scene: Crafting a Powerful Story One Scene at a Time, by Jordan E. Rosenfeld, is practically bleeding purple from all the highlighting I did in it. This book is great for improving your scene structures and your overall book structure. It’s most applicable to novels, but as I’m flipping through it to choose a quick quote, I’m realizing there’s plenty in here that applies to picture books, too.
