Happy Poetry Friday! (Wondering what Poetry Friday is? Click here.)
I’m excited for the upcoming publication of my friend Joyce Sidman’s Before Morning! It publishes on October 4, and it’s just gorgeous.
Let the air turn to feathers,
the earth turn to sugar,
and all that is heavy turn light.

Good books, good friends, a good snowstorm, and good poems all accomplish that feeling of wonder, of darkness turning light, for me. This book has me drooling for winter, though I want to enjoy a long, gorgeous fall first. And, though the text (as always) is the most enchanting part for me, if you visit the Amazon page and scroll down, you’ll see sketches of the process of Beth’s art. So cool!
