Happy Poetry Friday! (Wondering what Poetry Friday is? Click here.)
Shoot! I forgot until this moment that this was the first Friday of the month, so it’s a Poetry 7 day! But I promised my Young Authors Conference writers last week that I would share our work today, so I’ll have to have a two-post day.
Earlier this week, I shared a biopoem and my lesson plan for writing them with kids in a short session! Today, I’m sharing our work. This padlet has our group brainstorming and poems from all four days. And it has a poem written by one of the students. I gave them the url and hoped more would add their poems–they were so awesome about sharing during the session! But…end of school year, long url (I know, I should have tinyurled it), and such moved it to the bottom of the list for kids.
There were such a range of wonderful poems written last week–I hope everyone enjoys this little taste.
For more poetry fun, don’t miss the Poetry Friday Roundup, hosted this week by poet and media specialist Jone MacCulloch at Check It Out!
Way to go, Young Authors! You made magic with your words! Keep writing!
Wonderful array of poetry inspired by your tutelage, Laura.
