One book I’m loving right now is The Cuckoo’s Haiku (Candlewick, 2009), poems by Michael J. Rosen (illustrated by Stan Fellows). In keeping with my mini-blogging vow for the present, I’ll just share one haiku.
Dark-eyed Junco
phased like tilted moons
half shadow, half reflection

This is a gorgeous picture book, and by coincidence I have a couple of other bird poetry collections in my TBR pile. Maybe these books will make a birdwatcher out of me yet.
