I’m posting this on Thursday night, because I know some of y’all will be chomping at the bit to add your links! How great is that eagerness to participate in a poetry gathering!
My offering is short and sweet this week: a fourteener (14 syllables) epigram by Emily Dickinson:
We all have moments with the dust,
but the dew is given.
–Emily Dickinson
I’m feeling a little dusty lately. Nothing horrible…just worn down and the usual family worries. Am hoping for some dewy moments soon.
And now, you know what to do with Mr. Linky! (OK, that sounds a little suggestive, doesn’t it? Anyway, leave your links!)
Addendum: I just have to say, as I’m going through reading these entries, how happy it makes me to be part of Poetry Friday. I love that we share not just poems but also ideas for teaching, thoughts on poetry and life, and our own personal experiences. It’s truly a feast!
