|At my writing group last week, tundra swans came up, and they made me think of this poem from Jack Prelutsky‘s The Carnival of the Animals. I like Prelutsky’s beautiful verse more than his wacky stuff, and I love this poem.
The swan is grand and glorious,
One of my favorite things about this poem is what it doesn’t say–not a word about the swan’s neck!
