Welcome to the Nonfiction Picture Book Challenge that Alyson Beecher hosts at Kid Lit Frenzy each Wednesday. Visit Alyson for the link-up to lots more posts about nonfiction picture books.
I confess I didn’t read a nonfiction picture book this week (though I worked on the writing of two different ones:>) I traveled down to Florida for a very quick trip to spend a bit of time with my dad and sisters.
But, I thought I’d offer this up in case anyone is interested.
Lerner has given me a number of F&Gs of If You Were the Moon. Well, I’m calling them F&Gs, though they’re actually cut into single sheets and stapled! Anyway, I have about 30 or so. If you’d like to receive one in exchange for an honest review on your blog/site/podcast, just go to https://goo.gl/forms/3F2lUK6Q9UtZLKB72 to give me your info. Please make sure to enter your complete mailing address! (I can only mail them within the continental United States.)
Usually I’m happy when someone likes one of my posts enough to share it, but I’m going to ask you not to share this one. It will cost me a fair bit of time and $ to send out all my F&Gs, and I’m happy to do it for those of you who love and share nonfiction picture books. So if you know a kidlit lover who has a blog or platform to share books, by all means, share this post with him or her specifically. But I feel like I owe it to Lerner and to the book to get these F&Gs into the hands of people most likely to share about the book. Thanks for understanding:>)
Thanks, Laura. I missed your NetGalley offer & it shut me out! Will be sending my info!
Can’t wait for this book! Happy to get an F&G and post, but I’ll also be buying a copy. Love your books/poems 🙂
I’d love to get an F&G–when I started my blog I intended to use it to review books, but then felt like a bit of an impostor. Going to try to get over that and share some thoughts this year.
I’m STILL trying to figure out how to use my blog, what I can realistically keep up with, etc.!
Thank you, Laura! This is one stunning book–will try to review this month, but if not, will plan on March.
Thanks, Buffy–whatever works for you! I have been so lucky with regard to art, right?
Oh, thank you! Can’t wait to get this book. It looks absolutely gorgeous!
I would love to receive an F&G to review!
