Here are my fabulous panel-mates from one of the NCTE sessions I was happy to be part of: Laura Purdie Salas, LeUyen Pham, Kate Messner, Jen Vincent, Laurel Snyder, Deb Parryman
Well, this worked a year ago, so I’m going to put it out there again for 2016! I’m committed to attending both ILA and NCTE this year in Boston and Atlanta, respectively. I’ve got one speaking engagement (with Carol Varsalona–yay!) at ILA, and I’d be interested in adding a couple more sessions.
Last November, I was on panels for nonfiction and poetry at NCTE, and, as always, I so enjoyed having a chance to share my thoughts and writing or researching process with educators. As an introvert, if I don’t have an excuse to interact, I sometimes end up keeping too much to myself at these overwhelmingly big conferences.
So…if you’re putting together a last-minute proposal for NCTE, or if you’ve got an approved ILA session but find yourself in need of an author for your panel, I’d love to hear what you’re doing!
This will be my last year of committing to be at both conferences, so I’d love to make the most of them. Just click on the white envelope in the peach circle icon up at the top if you’d like to contact me about presenting together. And please feel free to share this post with other educators you know. Thanks so much!
Hope it happens for you!
