I’m In!

September 23, 2008 By Laura

I’m thrilled to be participating in the CYBILS again this year!

This web award for kidslit has nine categories this year (including the new Easy Reader category), and you can start nominating (one in each category) on October 1. Start thinking!

I’m on the Poetry Panel with four other poetry-lovers, and we five will narrow down all your nominations (you are going to nominate lots of poetry books, right?) to a select number (I say select because I don’t remember the exact number:>) to pass along to the judges. They are five more poetry-lovers, who will choose the winner from our select number.

It was so fun, not to mention educational, last year, debating and discussing children’s poetry books with other people who love them as much as I do. I can’t wait to get started!

I'm also creating promo materials, working on two board book manuscripts, and doing some work for hire to pay off Christmas bills! And I'm enjoying the lovely, snowy Minnesota winter. <3
