Isn’t it cute? We (and by we, I mean CLA President Trish Bandre, who did all the heavy lifting on this project) only had 300 of them made, and they were going like hotcakes at ILA in St. Louis this summer! The idea is to buy the bag, support CLA, and, if you’re coming to NCTE this November (in Minneapolis, WOOT!), bring the bag and show it off. You can see normal pictures of the bag and buy it at: http://www.childrensliteratureassembly.org/totebag.html Each bag is $25.00 (free shipping). Hint: This would make an awesome “start the school year right” gift for yourself, a colleague, or a grad student. Or holiday gift. Remember, once the 300 are gone, they’re gone. Which makes me want to yell, “Sparta!”
Cool New Tote Bag with Jon Klassen Art
I’m Secretary for the Children’s Literature Assembly–are you a member? It’s an awesome organization within NCTE, and this year is our 40th Anniversary! To celebrate and raise money, we’ve created a very cool book bag featuring art graciously donated by Jon Klassen and CLA’s Chrysanthemum logo (likewise, the use of Chrysanthemum was graciously donated by Kevin Henkes).
