The world is in their hands…and their words.
I’m on an overnight trip in southern Minnesota, combining a library event last night with a school visit this morning. I’m noticing a shift in my school visits over the past year or so. My focus remains to inspire enthusiasm for reading and writing. I want kids to love words and books. But I also want them to love themselves and our world and ideas more than they love owning things or being cool or being right. I mean, I’ve always wanted that, but I feel like that idea is slowly working its way more overtly into my sessions with kids. Kids can and will change the world with what they say and write. It’s up to us to help them understand and use that awesome power!
Thanks for all you do with children. Have fun!
Amen! xxx
