It’s no secret I have trouble getting work done when the kids are out of school. I mean, I get my work done–I have to, since there are deadlines to meet and bills to pay. But then I end up feeling bad that I don’t have more fun with the kids. Still, I’m grateful this winter break to be able to do a few things with and for my daughters (baking dipped gingerbread cookies, wrapping gifts, having them watch old episodes of Bones while I work on my laptop, giving them and their friends rides places, etc.). I still have to do my work, but being home and having the flexibility to stop and do other things is a real luxury–one I so appreciate.
I hope all of you are finding plenty to enjoy and appreciate, too.
