Write After Reading: Living the Life Poetic is a weekly online book club with poetry participation. It alternates between my blog and Susan Taylor Brown’s blog. Last week, we talked about Chapter 24: Sound: Writing Out Loud, here at my blog. I loved our discussion of sound diagrams and I’m really looking forward to using this technique more! I’ve used it in my quick little daily poems that I do, but I can’t wait to try it with my poems for an actual collection I’m working on. I’ll be starting revisions soon, so it was the perfect time for me to learn how to use that tool!
This week, Susan is discussing Chapter 33: Work the White Space: Shaping Poems with Line. I hope you’ll join in with our chat this week! I’m loving discussing and practicing actual, hands-on techniques. This is the part I always skip when I read writing books, and it’s why Susan and I started this book club.
And make sure to check out the exciting news about Sage Cohen, the author of Living the Life Poetic!
See ya at Susan’s!
