This year, the phrase “back to school” is raising anxiety levels to a new high. I’m not even a teacher anymore, and my kids are grown, but even I’m feeling the pressure. (On a less dangerous level, it’s a rather nerve-wracking time to be a children’s writer, too, as getting our books to readers is extra challenging.) All this makes it a great time to read Clover Kitty Goes to Kittygarten and talk with your kids about how they can have a terrific school experience. Booklist says, “Clover’s experiences and school ‘armor’ helpfully explain the ups and downs of the first day of school or of going to school for the first time. A reassuring read to ward off the jitters.”
Here are a couple of downloadables that can help!
And don’t miss the school countdown calendar and other downloadables on my Clover Kitty page.
Wishing you all the best possible start to your school year!
