Joyce Sidman’s ROUND

March 27, 2017 By Laura

I love Joyce Sidman’s work, and her new book Round is no exception. My favorite is the spread […]

A Holiday Wordsmiths Gathering

December 21, 2015 By Laura

A couple of weeks ago, my writing group, the Wordsmiths, did our little holiday get-together. Great food (can you say whiskey truffles?), laughter (lots), small & lovely gifts, and talking about books and works in progress. We were missing two comrades-in-pens, but other than that, what a lovely afternoon! Thanks, Joyce Sidman, for hosting. It […]

Poetry Friday – “The Mollusk That Made You,” by Joyce Sidman

August 7, 2014 By Laura

I love Ubiquitous, by Joyce Sidman, and here’s one of my favorite poems from it! I wish you could see the delicate, beautiful art that goes with this poem. The Mollusk That Made You Shell of the sunrise, sunrise shell, yours is the pink lip of a pearled world. Who swirled your whorls and ridges? […]
