I’m Late for National Umbrella Day, but…

February 15, 2023 By Laura

[PS for Pre Script? Please see Rose Capelli’s wonderful review of Finding Family here.]

Okay, I admit I missed National Umbrella Day on February 10. But it’s never too late to celebrate. Here’s the book trailer for my forthcoming board book, Puddle Song!

I adore that giant rainbow umbrella on the cover (art by Monique Felix). I admit, though, that I like walking in the rain and don’t often use an umbrella. Do your students use umbrellas? (You could take a poll and make a graph/chart. Or have a show-and-tella-bout-your-umbrella!)

Happy rainy days!

[My Classroom Connections posts share a way to connect one of my books or poems to a classroom topic–often something timely that you might be covering in the next month or so. Please share this post if you have educator friends who might be interested–thanks!]
