WATER CAN BE… Video #3 (The Water Cycle) and a Teaching Guide

March 18, 2014 By Laura

Sharing another video this week. This one isn’t a trailer for Water Can Be…, but a quick video I hope educators might find useful.

And here’s a classroom guide. Lots of ideas there for your unit about water, which I’m excited about. I’ll also be creating a CCSS-referenced reading guide and a set of activity sheets for educators to share with students. Whee! Trying to stay calm for March, since April brings book launch, National Poetry Month, and loads of travel and speaking. All wonderful things–but I’ll be in a frenzy of excitement and rushing to be properly prepared for everything. So, each set of materials I complete is a load off my mind:>)

JUNE NEWS

Like a phoenix (except more loon shaped), the loon storytime featuring Laura Purdie Salas and Yvonne Pearson rises again! Come join us on Tuesday, June 6, at 2 p.m. We'll be at the Nordic Center at Lake Elmo Regional Park, ready to read, sing, and walk like loons! More info at the Washington Co. Library website.

LOTS of family stuff going on this month. Some of it's bad, like Covid and other unwelcome things, and some of it's great, like our daughter Maddie moving back to the U.S.! With all the extra things to do, I'm struggling with writing time. Things will calm down. Right?
