Day 25: Seeing Mom Today (#NationalPoetryMonth2020)

April 25, 2020 By Laura

April is drawing to a close. Are you exhausted? I am! But I’m also grateful for the intense whirlwind of creating poems daily (besides just the book project I’m working on). Now that Laura Shovan’s awesome #WaterPoemProject is over, I’m looking around, seeing which other prompts catch my eye. Goodness knows there are tons of prompts to choose from!

When my 15 Words or Less Poems went on hiatus at the beginning of the year, Margaret Simon asked if she could take up the baton with a similar challenge, This Photo Wants to Be a Poem. I finally got a chance to swing by on Thursday to check it out. I loved her photo prompt, and here’s the short poem I created in response (with a different cloud image). Thanks, Margaret!
