Like most everybody else, I’m experiencing lots of upheavals lately! I have no huge National Poetry Month plans–just hoping to share an imagepoem here each day (or as often as I can). I’m participating in Laura Shovan’s awesome #WaterPoemProject the best I can, so most of my poems will come from either that or from the PAD (Poem A Day) Challenge at Writers Digest. Grateful for the distraction of poetry and friends!
Here’s today’s poem, which I actually wrote yesterday. I had not planned to write to either of the above prompts yesterday, because I already had a poem. But then Michelle Heidenrich Barnes had to go and prompt us using a wonderful form, the wordplay poem. (Other wordplay poem posts, including a lesson plan of sorts, here and here and here.) So…I couldn’t help myself. Still a pretty quick draft.

I’m glad you shared this, Laura. It is wonderful and so creative! I wrote to that prompt, too, and it reminded me of your books like “Water Can Be”.
Thanks, Linda! You know, I thought I’d run out of water topics sooner, but it still feels fresh every day:>)
