Like most everybody else, I’m experiencing lots of upheavals lately! I have no huge National Poetry Month plans–just hoping to share an imagepoem here each day (or as often as I can). I’m participating in Laura Shovan’s awesome #WaterPoemProject the best I can, so most of my poems will come from either that or from the PAD (Poem A Day) Challenge at Writers Digest. Grateful for the distraction of poetry and friends!
Today’s poem comes from Mike Grosso’s prompt in Laura Shovan’s project: write about a favorite way to play in the water. Well, I had lots of choices, because there’s so much I like to do in the water! But I chose…water volleyball. Great memories from both childhood and adulthood (nothing livens up aqua aerobics class like some volleyball!).

Huzzah for no skinned knees and all that laughter. Bravo!
I was always so good at volleyball and so TERRIBLE at it in the water! It is about swallowing half the pool whilst laughing, isn’t it? And trying to displace gallons of water and spike… yeah, not happening with we shorties. Still, so fun! And I love the image.
