Happy Poetry Friday!
Sometimes my little daily poems this month are about emotional things. Other times, they’re just quick jottings. Here’s today’s, followed by links to this week’s sticky note poems.
Day 16: “Island Day” (a found haiku)
Day 17: “rain + night” (a riddle-ku)
Day 18: “open curtains + lightning” (a riddle-ku)
Day 19: “My Mom-in-Law Can Make Anything” (inspired by an oppositify exercise)
Day 20: “What the Rain Knows” (a deeper wisdom poem) + a COVER REVEAL!
Day 21: “Dolphin Encounters” (inspired by an oppositify exercise)
Also, fabulous teacher and poet Margaret Simon has the roundup today! Be sure to stop by and catch up on how the beautiful Progressive Poem is, well, progressing :>)

LOL! Yes, poetry can be a polaroid snapshot AND lunch! This made me smile.
Hehe, thanks!
A daily snapshot on sticky notes is a worthy project this month. Hats off to you for discipline in writing every day. I’ve been enjoying seeing them on Instagram.
Such a great reminder that our poetry can come from the simplest of observations! Delight!
Very cool Laura! I like the quick snap shot and sticky note poem. You’ve inspired me to do some of the same. It will be good to add to my Instagram content 🙂 Thanks! –Tim
My husband and I just drove cross country and back and that happy meal looks familiar. Convenient, aren’t they? What do you think about Laura + Lunchtime = Happy meal?
Thanks for the poetic bite, Laura. I need a Happy Meal soon. 🙂
I haven’t been for such a long time, but can still taste those fries! It is a happy moment, Laura!
Poetic bite indeed! And a memory I will savor. Thanks!
I’m enjoying your daily snapshots, Laura. This one made me hungry.
I like your alteration Laura in this palatable poem!
I also liked your “My Mom-in-Law ” poem, post and pic, I didn’t have time to comment!
Oh I love this little snapshot — and I love sticky note poetry, too. And I just realised I wasn’t following you on Insta, but have fixed that!
I am enjoying your post-it note poetry, Laura. Happy Lunchtime!
I’m a vegan, but I always enjoy your yummy bites of poetry, Laura! ;0) Thanks for sharing!
