I could picture that poem. We just cleared a few “graveyards” in our flowerbeds. I enjoyed these words together, “crisp brown stalks.”

Thanks, Cathy!Those daylily stalks always look so out of place in the spring when the new plants are in full lush greenness. I hate gardening, so I’m always behind–I’m sure I could pull those stalks as soon as winter’s on the way out, but I never get to it that fast!

OH, I like. Here, the flowers come up through the lawns… and do you know, they mow them anyway!? Because there are always more. I have never seen the like…
