Destruction: Captain Jack Sparrow

Here’s a picture of a stuffed frog. It’s one of Jackie’s toys, and it’s pretty nasty. This image makes me think of:

  1. Barney the Dinosaur (whew, survived many years of him!) and a hair coloring job gone wrong
  2. the fear a dog toy must feel as those teeth come close
  3. what if we were as fascinated by frogs as we are by dinosaurs?

And, here’s my first draft.

It’s your turn! Have fun and stick to 15 WORDS OR LESS! (Title doesn’t count toward word count:>)

  9. Oh you’ve brought me back to those long afternoons of Barney–I can still hear that purple dino voice (and also remember the shattered look on my younger one’s face when her big brother learned in first grade that Barney was for babies!)

    The Proposal

    Green arms beseech me–
    he’s bent on one knee,
    to promise froggy love,
    forever,
    eternally.

    1. Hehe. Yep, we still occasionally sing “Sisters ” here. My kids won’t admit how much they loved it, though. Sure did drive me crazy.

      I love the froggy love!
