Gotta love first graders! I am lucky to spend every day with them. Thanks for the smile.
Glad you liked it, Cathy. And love your enthusiasm!

Just right, Laura. That final line-beautiful. I taught first grade when I began teaching & some days with older students I yearn for those young ones.
Thanks, Linda. First graders just seem so willing to express their joy. Or they haven’t learned how to hide it yet. Either way, they’re just a treat.

Love the haiku about your niece Lily! There are times when I miss teaching and working with young children.
Thanks, Elaine. You know, my sister teaches 1st grade, and I know there are surely some stinkers in every bunch, but overall, what a joyous age!
