If you know me, you know that my husband, Randy, is always bragging on me, supporting me, and celebrating my writing. Today is Randy’s birthday, and I’m spending the whole day celebrating with him! He gets so short-changed, having his birthday right before Christmas. And even at Christmastime, he finds ways to cheer on my writing. I can’t remember if I shared this before, but one of the birthday gifts he gave to me was a set of little ornaments featuring my book covers!
I am so lucky to have a husband and family that supports my creative work. Randy’s wonderful in so many ways, but that’s just one way his generous spirit shows through. Happy birthday, Randy–I love you!

Happy birthday, Randy–Laura’s biggest fan. Love the ornaments you had made for Laura and the cheesecake you made for family at Thanksgiving. You deserve a day full of happiness and birthday surprises! You are a blessing to many!

Thanks, you guys! Randy appreciated all your birthday wishes, which I read to him in the car as we went from one adventure to the next. We had a delightful day full of Randy-chosen activities: skyping with Maddie, Bell Museum of Natural History at the U of Minn, lunch at Revival, a second showing of Star Wars, gifts, time to play videogames, and Mexican food for dinner out with Annabelle and Alex. :>D
