Yes, I know it’s almost summer, and therefore not the right season for Bob Raczka’s Santa Clauses. Too bad! I didn’t hear about this wonderful book until halfway through December, and I wish I’d seen it earlier! So I’m sharing this poetryaction way out of season. It’s a fantastic picture book about Santa’s life as he prepares for Christmas, one haiku/day at a time. Sort of like the poetryaction I shared for Imani’s Moon, this one came about when I asked myself, What happens next?
I do love stories in haiku. Have you seen Lee Wardlaw’s Won Ton? I can’t wait to read her sequel, Won Ton and Chopstick!

I like! There is never a wrong time to begin anew. For me, lists are mandatory! Enjoy your day Laura.
Thanks, Martha. I’m a list-maker, too. Always.

Laura,
Santa Clauses–what a clever idea. I can’t wait to look this one up!
Yep, it’s one of those “Why didn’t I think of that?” ideas!
