Laura,
I think I’ll create my own list of things that make me happy, just to start the day off right. I decided to check this book out of the library and noticed that Scott Menchin has illustrated many books. Does he have many other titles that he wrote and illustrated?
Do you have any sort of system for selecting picture books to read? I’d love to hear. Sometimes, I gather an author’s works by the handfuls. Other times, I go by recommended titles. How about you?
Ooh. This is a good question, and I want to reply in a bit more detail than I have time for now. In fact…maybe I’ll do a post about it! If not, I’ll at least answer you here in the next few days. Thanks for asking. (And, basically, my “system” is just a mishmash!)
I look forward to hearing more about this author/illustrator. Thanks for telling me that your picture book selection technique is mishmash. Funny!
