This is such a great use of metaphor for kids in your Riddle-Kus. Just love this and my OWN pillow. Though I often wish I could remember my dreams more often! Just let’s say I am so glad I was launched into the deepest part of the universe last night so I could get enough sleep having been sleep-deprived for a week or so!
Glad you caught up on sleep! I’ve been traveling and a bit sleep-deprived, too!

When in dreams I fall
waking suddenly, finding
your softness soothes me.
Good morning . My pillow was definitely my friend when I awakened from a dream of falling through the cutout for my new kitchen sink which is being installed this morning. Actually nightmare is a more appropriate word — five days of kitchen remodel.
Ack! I have had very weird nightmarish dreams this past week, too. Isn’t it funny how our little anxieties (like home improvements) transform at night!
PS — I don’t usually like inverted word order, but somehow I love it in your first line!
Thanks for the comment. I’ll try and remember that it does not always work! I appreciate any critique you care to give.

Laura love your first 2 lines I can’t think of a poem for this one
Thanks, Jessica–and that’s fine. These really are not meant as writing prompts. They’re just meant to be fun little poems teachers can share with their classrooms.

Nice Laura — I guess everyone loves their pillows, considering the comments above.
True–we’re all so busy that those things that signify relaxation and the end of our busy days become quite loved:>)
