Welcome to National Poetry Month and Poetry Tips for Teachers! I’ve met lots of teachers who feel nervous or uncertain about performing poetry for their students. And I’m the first to admit that I’m no professional performer! But I’ve gotten better and lots more comfortable with performing poetry out loud. So this month, I’m going to share a quick tip each weekday morning (that’s my goal, at least) plus a poem for you to share with students, if you like, or practice the tip on! Have fun, and make any changes to the ideas so that they work for you!
NOTE: If you’d like to make a Comment (and I do love that), you need to be inside a specific post, not just scrolling through the list of posts. So if you can’t find the Comment link, click on the title of the post and then go down to the bottom. :>)

Looking forward to the month of tips and poems Laura! Thank you !
Thanks, Kim. I’m sure you won’t actually need any of the tips, but I hope you enjoy the poems:>)

This sounds wonderful, Laura! By the way, wait till you see the doors! They are amazing!
Oooh, I can’t wait. Will there be pictures, eventually? Will I be able to share them?
