Happy Poetry Friday! (Wondering what Poetry Friday is? Click here.)
Swinging in to share a poetryaction that I wrote after reading Michelle Schaub’s lovely new book, A Place for Rain. It’s lively language and a great environmental story! I really didn’t know what rain gardens actually were before reading this, although I’d heard the term before. Now I know!
You know what else I know? I love a bath. Lovelovelove. So, that’s what I wrote about. What do you love about water? (You can see all my poetryactions here.)
I’m going to miss the next couple of Fridays–can you guess where I’m going based on this wonderful journal by Robyn Hood Black? I’ll probably be sharing some pics along the way on Facebook and Instagram. Hope you have a great October!
Oh, one more thing. I’m sharing We Belong at this cool special event. Maybe I’ll see you there–it’s free! Click the image for more info/to register :>)
And for lots of wonderful poetry, don’t miss the Poetry Friday Roundup with anthologist and connector Tabatha Yeatts.

Wow! Enjoy every moment. Can’t wait to see what poetry comes out of this trip. “world’s smallest lake” is a great ending to your poem. It’s fun and funny and perfectly kid sized.
Looks like it will be an amazing trip! Have fun getting inspired! Love your little bite-size poem that is so kid friendly. At 6′2″ I just wish there was a comfy tub large enough for me in this house! Have a great day.

Have a wonderful trip, Laura! Love the image of the bathtub as “the world’s smallest lake.”
I guess we all love that image of “the world’s smallest lake”, Laura. I am a bath lover, too, with lots of bubbles! Have an amazing trip, which I’m sure it will be! I look forward to lots of sharing and poems!
OMG — have a fabulous trip in Ireland. We visited and drove the country for 2 weeks in 2018 and the memories fill my heart. I am writing a number of poems about water (a Neveremore’s prompt that I’m still working on from earlier this year). Maybe they will come to something –but I love a bathtub as the world’s smallest lake :). Splish! Splash!
Have a wonderful trip! I also loved A PLACE FOR RAIN! And I love reading in the bath!
Such a cute poem — love that small lake! Have a fun and safe trip; hope you see a leprechaun. 🙂
