One spot we visited during our Oregon trip was Yaquina Head Lighthouse. Perched on top of a cliff looking out over the Pacific, it’s a beautiful, simple, elegant structure. We checked out the lighthouse, watched swarms of nesting seabirds floating on the ocean, watched seals sunning and playing below on
Randy and I spent as much time as possible close to (or on) the water in Oregon and northern California. Although it rained a fair bit, we also had some glorious weather. We walked to Battery Point Lighthouse at low tide, walked the Indian Sands Trail, went to Agate Beach
Randy and I spent 2 days driving through and walking among the coastal redwoods of Northern California. I barely have words for how amazing and otherworldly they are. It rained a lot, and we were soaking wet. Here are a few pics 🙂 And here’s my skinny poem for today.

Today’s skinny was inspired by a mashup of my love for the shade of trees, how I adore cozy and hidden spaces, and my horror at the news of various arrests carried out by hooded immigration (I think) officers.
