Welcome to 2016! This year on my blog, I’m hoping to share more behind-the-scenes/inside-my-head posts about my own writing process and my life as a book-lover. I hope you’ll join me.
Isn’t this a beautiful Rilke quote? I love its calm but celebratory feel. It inspires me to want to try new things with my writing and poetry, to create things that have indeed never been. I took a pic of a balsam-scented candle I’m burning that is making me long for the woods and added this quote to it:>)

Wishing you a very satisfying new year!
A combination of nature and hope — powerful. What a way to begin a new year.
Happy New Year, Laura! I love this quote too. I’ll be sharing it for my Two Line Tuesday tomorrow. My guess is that we won’t be the only ones sharing it this week. 🙂
I love this quote, too. It’s ripe with possibility–just like the new year. Wishing you a productive, fulfilling 2016!
Happy New Year to you, Laura. That is a wonderful quote. Thanks for that.
A happy, healthy, and success-filled 2016 to you, Laura! (Were you able to get that mentoring program underway?)
Thanks! And, nope, I didn’t have enough registrants. I love the idea of doing something like this, but, having taken a hard look at our finances recently, have to stick with teaching/mentoring activities that might earn at least some profit! It made me sad to cancel it. Thank you for spreading the word about it–I do appreciate that!
Completely understand. You need to make a living, after all! Best wishes with ILA and NCTE this year!
We’re out here listening (reading) and enjoying your posts. This is a good reminder for me to get back to MY blog. Happy New Year.
