World Water Day is Next Week!

March 15, 2023 By Laura

World Water Day is March 22, and I’m realizing how many of my books are about water! That includes all 3 of my spring 2023 books, Zap! Clap! Boom!, Finding Family, and Puddle Song (which published yesterday!). There’s also Water Can Be… and Secrets of the Loon. I do love water!

If you include any of my books in your water unit, I hope you’ll check out the various resources for educators on my site by clicking the above links. The Water Can Be… page has videos and activity sheets around the water cycle that you might find fun.

And, if you’re in the Twin Cities, I’d like to invite you to a storytime launch party for my 3 new books. Come to Red Balloon on Saturday, April 1st, at 10:30 a.m. Can’t wait to see you!

[My Classroom Connections posts share a way to connect one of my books or poems to a classroom topic–often something timely that you might be covering in the next month or so. Please share this post if you have educator friends who might be interested–thanks!]

SEPTEMBER NEWS

Whee! It's fall, the time of fresh starts. I'm busy working with a web designer to redesign my site--yikes. That's a big project. But I started off the month with a family visit in Florida, which was great. Now I'm prepping for a fall-themed storytime at the South St. Paul Library on Sep. 26 at 10:30 a.m. Hope you can come!
