It’s another N+7 draft for you today. The one I’m sharing here and also the one on Thursday both came out of the same stanza that I shared yesterday.

“scarlet stars” — wonderful! I love the title “sticky-note” poems. I need to share that with teachers. I am used to calling them post-it poems.
Thanks, Carol! It was hard to get into the habit of calling Post-It notes sticky notes, but after several years of seeing material for teachers refer to them that way, it’s finally what I call them. (Trademark reasons, I assume.) I like the alliteration of Post-It Poems better, and it would be more apropos since I’m posting them on my blog :>D Oh well.
Wow! “Mapels drape” and “scarlet scars” are great sounds and images! I love how you personify this beautiful line “the world spins on a pin in beauty and loss”. That line brings up many recent images in my mind. That line has heart, too, right?
Thank you, Gail. Yes, I felt both melancholy and hopeful as I wrote it, so it definitely has my heart, anyway :>)
Such loveliness. I am feeling torn between a great love of spring and a great love of fall. I’m so enjoying your project this month, Laura. xo
Fall always wins out for me! Thanks for reading, Amy :>)
