I love railroad tracks, even though I’ve never been on trains, other than metro commuting trains or short scenic railroads. They always remind me of the wonderful freedom I have. If I don’t like it where I am, I can go somewhere else! Not everybody has that freedom, and railroad tracks remind me to be grateful for mine.
We have tracks that run straight through our town. While some days I curse the train that will make me late. Others I enjoy hearing the whistle and thinking about movement. Love your s sounds in this poem.
We have tracks nearby and I love the sound of the train, though I don’t hear it often. But the tracks aren’t in a spot that holds me up while trying to get someplace. Best of both worlds! Thanks, Margaret!
