Apologies for those who visited last Thursday. I had several posts for Thanksgiving Thursday and Poetry Friday and one all about NCTE–and they have completely disappeared. :>(
OK, moving on…
There’s something about a farm silhouetted against the sky that always feels so nostalgic. As I’ve driven around Minnesota doing school visits, I’ve been treated to the sight many times!
I’m not sure exactly why, but I decided to compare the stages of grain storage to a thunderstorm…
Very clever metaphor! Loved the “grain gathers full and heavy”.Thunderstorm s were always so ominous in Minnesota. I prefer Maine storms!
(Blogger lost my Sunday post, too!)
I grew up in Florida, and I miss those powerful storms. Minnesota storms only compare a couple times a year. Maine storms must be fairly gentle!
My uncle had a farm in upstate NY, and I loved everything about it as a kid. You really captured quite a powerful feeling that both farms and storms emit.
