Back during Poetry Month, I had a lovely overnight visit to southern Minnesota for an evening event at the Lanesboro Public Library and then a school visit at LeRoy Elementary the next morning. (Here’s an article in the local paper. Thanks, Charlie Warner!) It’s agricultural country down there and Amish country, brown and barren and strangely beautiful in winter, and we had no snow for my drive down, which I was thankful for. I love snow, but snowstorms while on my way to events are NOT welcome! Thought I’d share a few pictures here. These terrific events were made possible with Minnesota’s Legacy Funds. Thank you, SELCO, Lanesboro Library, and LeRoy Elementary (so many kids in such a close space and SUCH great participation!). Click to enlarge.
